Have you ever heard about the Makin’ Bacon dish? Do you know who invented it? A kid named Abbey Fleck did it! Abbey Fleck was eight years old. She and her dad were cooking bacon. Then the paper towels ran out. How could they drain off the fat?
Abbey got an idea. A little rack might hold bacon up as it cooked. A tray below would catch the fat. Abbey tried hard. Soon she made her idea work. She called it the “Makin’ Bacon” dish.
